Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident Injures Two

A Fort Worth pedestrian accident leaves two injured after a car slams through a local hair salon. The incident took place at approximately 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in the 700 block of W. Berry Street.

According to reports, the driver of a car drove through the front window of a Pro-Cuts salon along W. Berry Street. The car struck two girls who were sitting on a bench, knocking them into the air.

Rescue crews transported one of the girls and the driver to a local hospital where they were treated for injuries sustained in the accident. Their conditions were not immediately made known.

The owner of the hair salon, Beth Driskill, said that the second girl got up and appeared to be fine.

"Two sisters were on a bench and they just went flying through the air when the car came through," said Ms. Driskill. "They apparently had been waiting on their mother, who was getting a haircut."

The Fort Worth pedestrian accident remains under investigation by local authorities. It is unclear as to why the unidentified driver slammed through the hair salon.
