Hello, my name is Linda Kelley and I live in Lancaster, Texas. And I'm here because of Kay Van Wey.

Were you pleased with the results of your case?

I was totally pleased because she gave me that comfort that she was there for me and she was going to be there for me and my children. So I was totally pleased.

Did Kay fight hard for you?

Yes. You know she fought hard and she told me that from the beginning because like I said earlier, she knew the nature of the case.

Did Kay explain the legal process to you?

She did. She explained everything to me from step one on how we was [were] going to ... how she was going to go about it, so I could relax. And like I said it kind of gave me peace where I could rest at night and it let me know she was really working for me. And not as some lawyers have, you know, have where they are just trying to get money in their pockets. She put me and my children first.

Did Van Wey Law keep you updated on the status of your case?

Yes. I was totally informed and you know she would call and let me know what was going on, how it was going. You know, so I never had to pick up the phone and you know, say, "well what's going on." I felt like, you know, like I was invading. You know, she made me feel where any time if you had any questions, give me a call, let me know, you know, if anything come[s] up, call me, I'm here for you. I'm working for you and your family. So she made me very comfortable.

How does Kay compare to any other attorneys you have been represented by?

I have been represented, not in that capacity, you know, but I have and I wouldn't go back to any of these other...and that's not saying anything bad against the attorneys I had before, but because of the situation with this, Kay just showed me how much she cared. And I would totally stay with her. I haven't been with anybody since.

Would you recommend Kay and Van Wey Law?

I would totally recommend her. And stated before I have already recommended her for other cases and they were satisfied, you know, with her. You know, and taken care of. It's just the compassion that she have [has]. What people need now these days, when you're going through things, you need people that's, you know, that's there for you, you know, and not just for a dollar.

What about Kay's representation meant the most to you?

The compassion. Her representing me and not...even though her being a lawyer, it was more of a friend. She...that meant more to me than just her...her...her knowledge. I needed that too, but she was there as a friend, you know, that I could talk to, without being an attorney. She could almost like feel my pain that I was going through, and that meant a lot to me. Somebody that felt like they could understand even though they weren't in my situation, but they could feel my pain and what I was going through at that time.

Any other comments about Kay?

That she's an honest person. She's not one of the ones that come out to try and rob you or cheat you. Everything that she lays out is real. It's been since 1991and it's 2011, and I still would recommend her. I still feel like she's the same person that she was there, even just more compassion that she has for the people that she represents.
