Van Wey & Williams Law would like to formally introduce the incredible Anne Roberts.

Anne Roberts serves as Of Counsel on the VWW team and focuses on medical malpractice and healthcare litigation. She is Vice President, Medical Staff Services at Mount Sinai Health System, and is a nationally recognized healthcare consultant. Anne serves in the firm’s medical malpractice and healthcare litigation section where she represents patients and their families who have been harmed by medical errors.

“Advocacy for those who have been harmed by medical errors, and implementation of laws and safeguards to improve patient safety, is one of my top priorities. Van Wey & Williams not only fights to ensure justice for their clients, but through our advocacy work, we are paving the way for safer care for patients across the country.”

For two decades, Anne Roberts has worked as a nationally recognized healthcare consultant and has served in senior leadership roles in large academic medical centers, with expertise in medical staff credentialing/privileging, quality/performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and peer review.

As a medico-legal consultant, Anne provides guidance to executive physician leaders in healthcare organizations across the country in their role overseeing the operations of the organized medical staff, and in drafting, implementing, and enforcing medical staff governing documents (e.g., Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations, Code of Conduct and Policies and Procedures). Anne assists healthcare organizations with restructuring their credentialing, privileging, and peer review programs, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and provides training to physician leaders in these areas.

Anne is also an award-winning author having published numerous books and hundreds of articles related to medical staff credentialing and peer review and serves as a guest speaker at national conferences on these topics.

“I am humbled by the level of heart and dedication that the team at Van Wey & Williams provide to each and every client, and their commitment to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves. It is what makes me proud to be a part of the Van Wey team.”

Anne has a Bachelor’s in Science in Health Care Administration and attended UNT Dallas College of Law where she served as Chief Student Counsel for the Joyce Ann Brown Innocence Clinic. She is licensed by the Texas State Bar and is dual certified by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) in Medical Staff Management and Credentialing.

She also won the NAMSS Golden Key award, being recognized nationally by her peers as a leader in her field for advancement in the medical staff services profession. She serves on a National Patient Safety Advisory Group, lobbying for improvements in the oversight of Medical Staff Quality & Peer Review.
